Grossglockner

Rising to an elevation of 3,798 m, the Grossglockner is not only the tallest mountain here in Austria, it is also one of the highest peaks of the Eastern Alps.  The pyramid-shaped Grossglockner stands close to the somewhat smaller Kleinglockner (elev. 3,770 m), with the so-called Glocknerscharte in-between.

Hallstatt

Dachstein Ice Palace - Dachstein Glacier - Dachstein Sky Walk

Jägersee

Lake Jägersee – in the Kleinarl Valley – lies in the midst of a nature sanctuary. An exceptionally idyllic setting, it serves as the starting point for a number of beautiful hikes. You will also pass an area of reeds that serves as a nesting place for native lake birds.  The walking trail around this natural lake is mostly in the shade and is also walkable in winter.
